As a styling product, mousse is supposed to sculpt your hair while adding body and shine. What we found was that most of the leading brands can barely hold themselves up!
If a product that is supposed to add volume shrinks under its own weight, odds are good it’s not going to perform like you want it to. Every styling mousse we tested was sprayed for three to five seconds (to achieve a similar amount of product at the start of the test), with time-lapse video footage collected over the course of 20 minutes. (Each video run time is about 15 seconds.)
